Ok....i went with a manual rack , does anyone know what i can do to make the stock steering shaft work without throwing down 198$ for a flaming river one? Perhaps there is an adapter that will allow me to use my stock coupler?

I have manual steering rack from a 79 Mustang and I made my own steering shaft eliminating the rag joint. The U Joint size is 3/4 Bore 9/16x26 Spline

I listed above the size U joint you need for Maunal rack. Then I cut the stock shaft the size I needed and welded the new U joint on.

LOL doesn't this always happen when you start to modify? A guy asked me if i wanted to buy 5 lug axles today. Well of course i would like them but then i need 2 sets of rims one for my slicks not to mention the disc brake conversion and so on. that manual rack should free up some hp needed to get that car of yours closer to 10's.
