I want to buy a 351 dart block instead of stroking a 302 to 347.. I know there is a lot of debate on weight and having to change the bell housing and accessories but i think this will be a better move for me.. But i have a couple questions.
I am going to buy a T56 6 speed to go into my 89 as soon as i get the cash which wont be for another 3 months and i am building up my rear end with a auburn pro diff, 3.55 ring and pinion, 31 spline axles and c clip eliminators.
If i stoke the 351 to a 408 how much will it cost for the parts to build the motor and have a Performance shop put it together?
Not to mention the cost of the block.
I know this was a bit wordy but i wanted to give you guys the rundown on how my setup is going to look.
I want this stang to hit 180-190MPH and i think i could do that with the displacment from a 408. I also i am going to set up the stang to handle as well. maximum motor sports control arms, torque arm and panhard bar.
Any input will be great.
