My dash lights haven’t been working in a long time so I finally got around to fixing the problem. They are working now but are always on when the ignition is on, even with the headlights off. Are they supposed to come on with the headlights or always stay on? Thanks

They are supposed to come on with the running lights

Did you disconnect one of the wires and plug it back into an accessory lead?

Hey, the cool part is at least you don't have to pull the dash to check the bulbs!

I didn’t even take the dash out or play with the wires. It all started when I hooked up a newer am/fm cassette player. When I unhook the radio, the lights go off and when it’s connected the lights stay on.

All the dash light wires are blue with a red stripe. You might want to take the stereo out and see how you wired it up.
