dash question

The top of your dash will still be grey, even if you replace the pad and registers. Are you looking for a completly black dash?
You should really look into using vinyl dye. It works just like spray paint...easier actually, and it holds up perfectly. I used SEM vinyl dye. I didn't want a glossy color and I didn't want a flat black color, so I went with Landau Black. It is the PERFECT OEM color. You can still use Armor All on it with no problems. Actually I find that Meguiars Vinyl Protectant works much better.
I took grey registers, a black dash, a blue dash pad, and a red glove box door and made a perfectly stock looking, solid black dash. I used brake clean on all the parts to remove any oils and factory paint (yes, there are already factory paints on most interior trim peices). After drying, I put a bunch of coats of SEM on it and put it back together. Came out beautiful. Looks nice when it's dirty, and it looks showroom quality when I clean it.

is that all your needing is the all black dash? Check classified i have a car or whole interior im trying to sell
You technically need the console too. I mean if you put a black dash in and leave the gray console, it might look a little weird.
DO a search for dash swaps. There have been more than a couple. I've responded to quite a few since i've done an entire black interior conversion into my '88

You can also dye the console if you want it to match. The console I used was grey and blue...from two different cars. Looks perfect now.
For the time, money, and effort you are going to spend peicing together a black interior...you can clean and dye it. I did my complete interior for a LOT less than it would have cost me other wise.
