I found a dash out of an 87-89 mustang I was told by people it will work and i had everything tore apart only to find it didn't fit. I was told if you change the support brace in the back it will work?? Got me any way. If so idiot wouldn't try taking something apart he didn't know how i would'nt be replacing it.

I dont know if the braces are the same but I can tell you that once the dash is removed, the brace on takes an extra 10-15 minutes to remove.

It should fit fine. I have a 90-93 style dash in my 88 and it went right in without swapping the dash support braces

Where exactly is it not fitting

It seems like the sides of the braces on mine are hitting or too big?? Any easy way it can go in with the brace attached i mean it just seems smaller or something.

Any reason why you are not using a 90-93 dash?

The dash is in really good shape and its hard to find the 90-93 in my area. Otherwise I would...

Well, it should still bolt on the same onto the rusted metal frame. There might be a few screw holes missing, plus you will need an 87-89 center console, HVAC controls and the airbag column trim will not match correctly. Also, you'll have to relocate the fuse box.
