I wanted to go this year and run the car (test and tune),
but I've got a prior engagement

Should be awesome again this year! Joe's car is running good. AND I just heard they've got a jet car showing up

When is the car show portion of the weekends events? Would make a good tie-in with Joe putting the engine in 1FUN TOY for project MILD 2 WILD this fall/winter.

Beside Dasilva, only one other turbo car was there, no renegades, SSO, plain sucked.

Until FUN FORD or the NMRA come North, we're going to have to be patient. I'm sure Joe DaSilva and his staff did the best they could with a ton of effort, but 1 car doesn't make a Shootout anywhere even if it's Joe's Sweet Ride.

There needs to be some BIGTIME heavy hitters to persuade the larger organizations to come north of the border and put on some decent crowd drawing events together up here. When we go down to the US events and tell them we're from Canada, you'd swear they think we're fighting off Polar Bears to get to our mail boxes.

Look at Carlisle, a simple car show in a farmers field turned MONSTER EVENT? It's the US mentality of 'Build it they will come'. Good for them.. boring for us! :0(

Glad I did not spend the money to go, It rained mostly anyway. If you went, hope you got some good runs in. Did anyone attend the so called "Drag Racing School" on friday? or was it rained out?
