DD/Auto-X suspension options?

I'm looking to replace my shocks/struts springs and swaybars with aftermarket ones, and was wondering what you think the best options are.

To be specific, I'm looking for a relatively inexpensive setup that will stiffen up the car. Basically, just something to make the car a good double duty DD/auto-x car. I'm not really looking for adjustable units, mostly to avoid the added expense and I don't really think I need adjustable shocks/struts for my goals. If in the future I make it more of a open track/auto-x car than I'd probably move towards the griggs setup.

I'm considering the roush suspension setup, or piecing something similar together, I was wondering if anyone had any specific suggestions as to which work well together, so on. I do like the idea of linear rate springs, as ride quality isn't that important to me (I have rod-ended LCAs from MM). Thanks guys.

Go with the Shelby GT kit, (FR3 handling package). Pick any LCA, use poly bushings for a street car, not heim joint.

Get an upper control arm that adjusts so you can get the pinion angle back in line. Front camber should be just a skosh over -1 degree.

Me, personally, I intend to go with Konis so I can switch between race and cruising on the fly.

The rod ends don't really bother mean, until they wear out and start knocking...

I'm temped by koni yellows, but I'm not convinced that it would really be worth the money to me (~$750 for the set). Thanks for the alignment specs.

I will say this though nothing short of a full coilover setup with all the bells and whistles like the Trak-Pak setup will provide racecar feel so if you're looking to keep a relatively comfortable ride on the street this is the way to go.

I'm looking forward to that, Walter. I tend to agree, I don't want or need a road race caliber suspension, I just want to significantly reduce body roll and brake dive, and lowering it mildly would make me happy too. The kit I'm thinking of piecing together is the roush shocks/struts and springs with eibach swaybars (some of the less expensive ones available), I should be able to do that for about $1100 to my door.

The other two I am considering is the same eibach swaybars but with either bilstein or koni shocks with a linear rate spring (like the steeda sports), that'ed be about $1400+. Or the H&R cup kit, link, which would come to about $1700 (so I've almost ruled it out).
