Hey all, looking for a new cam for my combo heres what the setup consists of now

Edelbrock Rpm Perf. Heads
Cobra Intake
E 303 Cam
70mm TB
75mm Pro M MAF
24lb injectors
BBK equal shorties into 3" custom X Pipe with 3" flo pro mufflers out back
4.30 gearing
Suspension is 90/10 50/50 and ssm lift bars.

Anywho the cars best run is 12.7@106mph. *full interior, a/c p/s power EVERYTHING and it will stay like that*

Everyone is saying that e303 is old technology and something from a different company may take a few tenths off??

Also, the car does not have an electric fan its got a flex drive fan so its always spinning, will i notice a difference going from this to an electric fan?

....ALSO heh, will a custom burnt chip make any difference at all here? my goal was to install a blower but today i did some thinking.. im gonna wait and get some bugs fixed out of the car and also my daily driver is gonna need to be replaced. So is a chip yay or nay?!

Id like a cam that would do me good right now and perhaps even in the future with a supercharged setup.

Thanks

Edit: Forgot to mention the car has 1.7 rockers in it

I'd shoot www.flowtechinductions.com an email about this. Cam selection is the one thing I'd leave to professionals for my performance decisions. Also, the best way to tell if your car would benefit from a tune is to put it on a dyno with a wideband to see what your air/fuel curve and ratios look like. Also, why it was on the dyno, I'd go ahead and mess with the timing to get the most I could out of it also.

If you are going to add forced induction you should really go custom.

I'd recommend an e-fan once you are ready to upgrade the charging system

BTW: how have you like those eddy heads?

They're all good I guess. If I had to reccomend one, it'd be a Comp Cams
XE270HR. If you still want to stay with an off the shelf cam, then shoot Comp Cams an email with your mods and see which off the shelf cam they think suits your combo best. Like I said before, leave it up to a pro.

throw in a 444221 2021 cam from crane with matching springs.. it will wake that beast up.. its the same comp cam (except with .544 exhaust instead of .530 exh) that 5.0 mustang tested in there last issue and gained 30 horse from it.. just cam and springs.. everything else stock.. 30 horse from just that cam, you cant beat it
