I don't know which one to get.. i mean GT is cool its hella fast, but i don't know how bad 17/25 mpg will be.. can someone like help me out to picture how many times I will goto the pumps.. like for example since GT's are 4.6 liter, and honda's are 1.9 liter will the GT's gas last longer because it holds more gas? or... will the 4.6 get sucked up faster than the 1.9's honda tank?

And I'm worried about reliabilty, I mean Im going to have to buy like a 1994-1999 mustang because I don't got that much money.. and alot of those won't have warranties cuz their so old.. so what kind of problems will I run into with the mustang, how much money should I have.. whats a common problem that goes wrong with them..

Look for a deal on a newer GT pre 99. You can find them all over the place for that kinda cash. I got offered a 1998 GT black on black i think it was with like 30 k for 8,500 but then decided to go all out on a cobra. Its acording to how ya drive it how long it will last. I mean if you dump the cluts from 4 grand at every stop light you will get tired every time you fill up and worry about tranny problems. Asking if a GT will use more gas than your honda is kinda crazy. It will use more gas yes. This to is decided on how you drive it. for me i drive my car like any mustang owner does and i do not care about how much gas i get left in my tank at the end of the day. If you want good gas millage just keep the honda and then use the stang when you feel like getting crazy. that is what i do. I keep the cobra in the garage and i drive a 97 Silverado pick up truck. all about how you drive it.

IF you get a manual and dont beat on the pedal all the time, use 5th and 4th a lot, you will see over 300 a tank concistantly, romp on it like I do on the weekends and you will get 110 out of the tank.

Most of my driving is city, but in the morning its no traffic at approx 50mph so I get arouns 280 per tank during the week. Dont even try to compare a mustang to a honda, you just cant.

As a commuting car a honda works great, as a racing or sports car it will enver hold up no matter how much money you put into it... the rice scene is about tunes too, and when you put a 600 lb stereo and the same track times as a stock mustang I'm sure they dont get great mileage either.

i want a commuter and a fast car.. i want one that isn't gonna be slow... I just want a fast car that will be decent on gas, and a decent commuter.. I want it to be alot faster than Honda's i see, cuz i have a lot of testostorone, so i wanna burn every honda at a stop light

the 05 V6 is pretty quick only a few ponies shy of the pre 99 GTs, ponies dont mean speed though, ya gotta have torque and traction, and I think the 05s wiegh a lot more than the 99-04's.... DO NOT get a V6 stang and try to race, you will get beat and then we'll have to hear ricers talking about how they beat some mustang with one exhuast pipe....

Get a GT, the gas isn't bad, I drive 30 miles to work each way, every day I fill up 2x a week and have plenty of gas for the weekend. You only use midgrade, no point in using premium w/out a chip or certain mods

damn. i suggest you stop thinking about getting a car until you do some self research FIRST. honda - mustang comparison is impossible. stop comparing them, they have nothing in common. IF you really want a "fast" commuter car get an awd DSM with a boost controller. all the information you're asking is out there, all you got to do is use the search function.

Style before speed (not by choice, cant afford the gas until this ones paid off and I can get a 45 mpg KIA )
PROCHAMBER Catted
Flowmaster 40's (may be changing soon)
Steeda Underdrives
CDC Shaker and K&N
151.5 HP 290.5 TQ

Tuner is in progress
Lots of style mods

i always knew flowmaster 40's decreased horsepower :rlaugh:

i paid 7800 for my 2000 GT, leather, 5 speed, mach 460. i know a lot about mustangs, but i race with guys that know about 20x more than i do, so when i go look at mustangs, i can call them and ask them what i should pay...they all said anything under 8000 was a steal. if you can get someone that knows what to look for, you can usually talk someone down a few hundred, possibly to put you right in that perfect amount that you were wanting to spend.
