ALright guys I came about getting a pretty good chunk of change and I am looking at spending most of it in the stang. I have a few routes to go and just wanting to get some opinions from people on here. Some of the options include:

03-04 Cobra front bumper with the fog lights and painted redfire to match my car ( I think I can pick this up locally for 100 or maybe 200 since the guy is trading his in and is looking to go back to stock, also I know they are overdone but for this price it seems like a good piece)
The same seller also has a 95 Cobra hood as well but I am not so sure I like it all that much what do yall think of that hood?
SCT Tune from AM- I thought my car back in the day had a chip in it but I have come to the conclusion that it doesn't and I think they just took out the bulbs for the check engine light to 'fool' me.. stupid me I know but I can't go back and dwell, besides I have long tubes that most don't have
Lastly I was thinking about suspension mods. I already have C springs but I am still needing to pick up MM caster/camber and some Tokico's. I also might add some MM subframes as well in this.

I think at this point I am leaning towards the bumper, tuner and maybe the subframes and wait a few for the suspension stuff. Also I should say that I have up to $1500 from this but I would prefer to stay in the $1000 range to put some of the unexpected funds away. What route would yall take?

I would suggest gears and subframes asap. You don't have mods that warranty the need for a tuner right now that I can see.

Longtubes don't warranty the need for them? since the 02 sensors need to be turned off so I don't get the check engine light on?

Whatever combination you choose, gears should definitely be included. There is no other mod that feels like it adds 100hp for the price of gears.

The tuner would be needed for gears as well. I am only worried about milage as a drive a crapton..

Technically, a tuner isn't "needed" when doing gears. The speedo will only be off by a few mph and IMO that isn't difficult to keep track of while driving. Also, based on the numerous testimonials from people with gears, the mpg's are very minimally affected.

Personally, Im a "all go and no show" type of guy (I had my bumper and hood paid for by insurance due to a wreck), so I tend to advise towards performance mods rather than visual mods. You'll definitely benefit from a tune, especially with LT's. If you can afford a tuner and gears then that would be my advice. Better yet, if you can afford a tuner, gears, and SFC's then that would be even better.

I agree with the first guy. Gears and some subframes would be great. Especially for track use. These two things will greatly help you by keeping you through your powerband along with the subframes making things tighter. and like nightfire said, feels like a 100hp difference. Probably the best mod to date after nos for me.

I'd recommend SFCs over gears, if you can't afford both. I felt a greater improvement from the SFCs over gears, and the SFCs were cheaper to boot. Our cars are about as stiff as a wet noodle, so every bit helps.

I decided to go with the gears and tuner with subframes coming in 2 months. Can't wait to see what the change will be like!

Are you installing the gears yourself? If not, don't forget to factor in installation.

I would go with something like gears too. BTW AmericanMuscle.com always has good deals, especially with their sales.

Rejekt I got the deal with am for the tune and gears and I don't want to add to the horror stories of doing it myself.. access to a lift might have changed my thoughts but I figure its best to get it done right the first time.

I would def pick up the R hood (best looking hood for our cars IMO), pick up tuner of ur choice, gears to change speedo/turn off CEL/ pull codes etc. etc. they are worth the money in long run. Have had my DSP for several years and have been glad to have it.
