Technically it's not, but in the looks dept. it qualifies, if you ask me. :SNSign:2bav8 said:Hardly fit for Classic Mustang Tech forum don't ya think?
There's pics of it somewhere on two Ranger sites ( therangerstation.com & rangerpowersports.com) in the V8 forums. From the outside, it pretty much looks like a stock ( I like the sleeper look69Rcode_Mach1 said:Where are the pics of the ranger. I want to see that thing, it's not everyday you hear of a 13 second ranger.
D.Hearne said:It's fast enough for me as is. Runs the 1/4 in the 13's ...........and tops in ( or rather bumps the rev or speed limiter) at above 140 mph.
The Ranger system is Shelby type Tri-Y's into 2.25" duals with a 4"x12" long "equalizer chamber" ( my own fabrication) just before the 2.5" Dyno Max turbos, the whole thing exits at the rear under the bumper. The Merc has FPA headers dumping into dual 2.25" pipe also with Dyno Max Turbo's.Crs said:Hey D. Hearne, What exhaust system do you run on your ranger and on your 68 Merc?
I don't recall what size the tubes are on the Ranger ( sorry don't have time at the moment to measure them) but the 8.8 came from a 94 Explorer. I believe the Explorer has larger tubes than a Stang ( they have 31 spline axles)66Runt said:what is the OD of the axle tubes on the Ranger? I need to come up with Ubolts for the 8.8 going into my '66 (which is out of an 89GT).
Thanks.
BTW: your *new* Mustang sure looks like a classic to me. Beautiful car!
