Diablo Sport chip question

Hey,

Is there any disadvantages to buying a used Diablo sport chip, or anything I should watch out for? I know they can be re-flashed but can the previous users program be erased and then re-flashed? Is there a limit as to how many times it can be flashed? Thanks.......

they can be re-flashed as many times as you want/need. basically when it is re-flashed, the program that is on it is erased and a new one is put in place.

Question about Computer code:

I know the computer code is in the passenger side door jam.. I have an 03 Mustang GT 4.6L AOD and I BELIEVE my code is MEW1 does this sound right? Are there any others with this computer code owning an 03 GT AOD? There's a little rip at the end of the code, but I know codes only have 4 digits so I hope this is correct. Someone help me if I'm wrong and someone let me know if I'm right. Thanks a lot!

When I got my DiabloSport, the speedshop needed the code printed right on the computer. BTW, I wouldn't use the chip before getting a fresh program flashed on it for your mods.

Well, the guy at Partshopper told me he'd have to know my Mods as well as computer code in order to send me the correct chip. So I'm guessing this flash will not only be the Diablo chip itself, but for the mods also.

ya, they need to know what you have done to your car so the tune is specific for it. they also need to know which computer you have in your car.

like X-Firechicken said, i wouldn't put a used diablo sport chip into your car without having it reburned first. you don't know what the computer code was for the other vehicle, or the kind of tune that was put on the chip.

Be sure to get the correct code. I had mine burned at Steeda and they missed big time the first time around. Unless your changing gears and want to fix the speedo, it doesn't put that much more to the rear wheels. You'ld be better off spending your money elsewhere. What mods do you have ?

The main reason I'm getting this is becuase of my gears, I'm getting the 3.90's. Also, I'm like 99.9% sure this is my code because I visited the Diablo Sport Website and the code I found was listed under their chip systems.
