DiabloSport Predator Tuner Help?

My buddy totaled his 2001 gt and is giving me his DiabloSport Predator Mustang Tuner. I have a 99 cobra and I know this tuner will work with my car.

So my question is how do I get his old info off the tuner so it can be on a clean slate like how it was new?

I defiantly want to back up my stock tune.

I called DiabloSport tech support, but I was on hold for like 20 minutes and no one answered. May not be open because of new years...

if I remember right, either your buddy has to clear it by putting the stock tune back on his car or a Diablsport dealer/tuner has to clear it. I'm sure someone else will chime in if I'm wrong though.

Yup, uninstall it from the original car or send it to Diablosport. They'll clear it for $100 or something like that.

Actually I finally got a hold of Diablo today and they said fax them over the documentation that the vehicle was totaled and the insurance company paid for it.

Once faxed then I need to call tech and they can referbish the tuner over the phone for free.

I'll let you know what happens......

Cool. They just want to know for sure that you're not one of those who are just trying to jack with them so you can use someone else's Predator on your car for free.

It worked.... These were the steps if I remember correctly

Go to Options
Go to Toubleshooting
Go to the last option that's blank
Password is Left Up Left Up Down Left Up Left (Don't quote me on that one)

The Diablo should be Reset

Man I would have taped that call to learn the codes on how to re-set a diablo. That info is highly desired on the net.

Well that's pretty much it right there buddy. I don't know if the password changes, but I don't think so.
