Did the original mach 1s come with a limited slip differential?

I think so. my dad's '69 had 3.25's and I think were ltd. slip...

It was an option. My Mach1 has a 3.50 gears and an open rear end. They all came standard with the nodular iron 9 inch though.

Limited Slip differential was available for Mustangs with 6-cyl or 302 V8. Traction-Lok was available for bigger engines.

The only 69 & 70 Mach 1`s that came stock with Nodular cases were the 428 CJ cars.They also had 31 spline axles, while the 351 & 390`s were 28 spline.However the Traction Lock was not standard equipment, but rather an option. Most of the 351 cars I`ve seen came with open diffs, while most of the 428 cars had the traction lock.
