It went great! I used a set of Champions from Summit. Car is running and idling very well.
If I had it to do over I think I would have cleaned up the stock plugs and put a little anti-size on them.
I'm so glad that I didn't have any of the nightmare experiences that some people have had. I feel bad for those of you that had them frozen in the head.

Kudos on the successful replacement.
How many miles were on the car when you changed them?
You did the right thing by replacing the old plugs, instead of reusing them. I've read where some owners had engine problems after pulling the old plugs, cleaning them up, and reusing them. The reason is sometimes they crack internally during the removal process which is undetectable, and cause a miss if reused.

Dave, you're a brave man pulling your own plugs out. I replaced mine recently, as well, without incident. I went with FRPP 3V0's that are one heat range colder and copper (better for forced induction, like mine).

Glad your swap went well.

I've got 23500 miles on the car.

Side question anyone know if the 08 plugs work in the 05-07 cars? Did Ford change the head in 08 or just the plug?

Thanks all!

Both were changed (the new heads are marked AB instead of AA I believe). Use old style plugs in the old heads, new style in the new heads.

The Champions do only come in stock heat range, but they are copper core.

Plugs

You did the right thing. Now you have a one piece plug and don't have to worry in the future. I have over 10,000 miles on my Champions and they run as good as day one.
