Diff question... compatibility?

If I were to gut a 2005 rear end, would it install into my 96 rear axle? I believe they have 31 splines.

My diff is leaking from the wheel - seal might be gone; don't know, as I had someone else install the 410s.

Any help is always appreciated. Thank-you...

No.

2005+ rear axles were a 3-link design with spring perches physically on the axle. It differs from the Fox/Sn95 4-link rear.


Rear axle seals are easy on these cars. I would start there
