Difference between 96-98 & 99+ midpipes

i remenber reading sometime in the past that hanger, and O2 senser location is not the same. I could be wrong

thanks...im putting a prochamber on my cousins 00 gt and am going to try to see if i can put his stock h on my 96 because its midpipe is in horrible shape.

My '99 stock midpipe had 4 cats, the 98's have 6. Note I have seen pictures online of '99 models with 6 cats (they may be California cars though). I think the factory midpipe was changed on the newer models also 03/04?

yeah i was aware of the 2 fewer cats on the 99+ ones...what i was looking for was like the hanger differences or design changes like that..thanks though man

some 99+ still has 6 cats(i.e. cali. model)

i guess the only way to find out whethe it will fit or not is to try and bolt it up and see what happens

My 2003 Cali Stang "only" had 4 cats. I seem to remember hearing that the convertables had 6 cats.
