Difference between a coupe and a convertible back seat

Does anyone know the true difference between a coupe back seat, and a convertible back seat? Or are they the same seat just in a different position, with different quarter panels.

The convert rear seat is narrower due to requiring space for the top frame assy.

My current seat in my coupe is 43' long ways with the quarter trim of 4 1/4'. I have a coupe that was converted awhile ago in to a convertible, yet it only had a convertible top. It looked like a convertible from the out side, yet on the inside it was just a coupe. It has no where for the top to go down. So my project is to make the top accessible to go up and down. So do I need to get a new seat, and then quarter trim, plus move the seat up and cut a spot out of the portion behind the seat. Correct? Also what else is there that is different on the coupe than it is on the convertible for the 66 mustang.
