Difference in weight from vert to coupe?

Im looking at buying a 1999 -04 convert. just wondering how much heavier they are than the coupes?

Anyone correct me if I am wrong, but I believe its in the neighborhood of 150-200 lbs.

if thats all im really good to go...one of my friends said like 900 lbs.

I'd say my guess a little low, but 900 sounds a bit too much.

I've heard anywhere from 200-300. It's beacuse of the exta bracing installed under the car appearantly.

I believe the '05 vert is around 100 to 150. I think yours would be anywhere from 150-250.

ok.....we are good...i can drop that weight somewhere...lightweight suspension bits and the like.....

Coupe = 3069lbs
Vert = 3211lbs

Close enough, I think the Coupe is a little lighter, something around 3032... I think.

Anyway, yeah the Vert is like one million pounds heavier. It's absolute madness on how much heavier they are I would never buy one 'cause it's like driving a '82 toyota conversion van.

I can deal with 142 lbs....I can ditch some of that...even 40 lbs then it would only be 1 10th slower than a coupe with the same build up.
