What are the names of the different blocks and which are the strongest? Which 5.4 blocks can you put 01 and up cobra heads on? I want to have a 5.4 32v motor in my GT.

i'm pretty sure the heads will bolt to any mod block.

the 5.4 blocks are basically 2 models, pre-01 and post 01. 01-03 blocks are heavier thanks to about 20lbs of extra material to cut some vibration/noise. Those are called NVH blocks by most of the peeps I've seen refer to them at all. Pre-01 (98-00) are just as good for our uses and are 20lbs lighter.
Either will hold more than 1000hp when properly set up. Any 5.4 block from pre-04 vehicles will bolt right up to any heads that fit on modular motors. I used a 00' block and ported 01 2v heads.
