What is the differences between ‘89 GT seats and ‘90 GT convertible seats. I have a’90 GT convertible parts car. But my ‘89 GT didn’t have any
front seats when I bought it.
I have a 89 gt and I sold my 92 vert a few years ago, yeah that still hurts, anyway the gt, I think they were called 'sport seats', have a adjustable knee bolster, my lx vert had a sport seat but no adjustable knee bolster, the gt vert still had them I think.
84-91 seats all had the pull out leg bolster setup, so both 89 and 90 had that feature.
Two major differences between 89 GT and 90GT seats.
The 87-89 GT and 89 LX hatch sports seats all had large, tilting headrests. 1990 and later had small headrests. 84-89 sport seats had a 26" tall seat back, while all 90-93 and 79-89 non-sport seat backs were 24". The 87-89 seats with the taller back and big headrests tended to block out the rear seat passengers, so Ford ditched the higher seat models
