Digital Display Malfunction

This is a new one for me....

Tonight I get into my car and drive down to my college's "Campus Center" and arrive in the parking lot when I notice before shutting off the car that my digital readout is not working. the damn thing was blank. I tried pushing the reset button but that didnt do anything


a while later, i come out to return to my dorm, start the car and it comes up fine.



what would cause it to malfunction like this?

Mine did that once when my amp died, and shorted to ground when I started my car. It did it again when the battery died. You might want to check your battery connections, but odds are it was just a fluke.

yeah so its not a fluke.

its happened multiple times since i originally posted. ive even seen flicker on and off while driving

im going to go out on a limb here and say that this digital display is not something i can just pop the leds out of like the backlights

idk what i should do. every other light works fine on the cluster, its just the digital display
