the g/f... soon to be fiance just told me that after we buy our house, I can sell my car and buy an 03 or 04 cobra... wich is NOT something I expected to hear lol.

so... heres my dilemma... stop modding the gt, wait and sell it, use the money as a downpayment on a cobra. OR.... keep modding the gt, sell it and use the downpayment on a cobra. OR... who needs a cobra 2V's > 4V's.....
btw... who could pass this thing up? http://www.autotrader.com/fyc/vdp.jsp?car_id=195465379&dealer_id=573024&car_year=2003&search_type=both&make=FORD&transmission=Manual&distance=300&model=MUST&sponsorModel=&address=97080&make2=sel_one&certified=&advanced=y&max_mileage=&max_price=30000&bkms=1139785043932&min_price=15000&end_year=2004&color=&start_year=2003&drive=&isp=y&engine=8+Cylinder&body_style=COUPE&doors=&fuel=&lang=en&cardist=27

thats a hard decision. your GT paid in full? me personally, i would stick with the GT if u own kids. i wouldnt be car hopping if u have kids or kids are coming. would save u financially for a while

you also have a rare GT which i would consider keeping. its hard to give up an 03/04 cobra. my girlfriend kinda told me the same thing with our GT. i can go for an 03/04 Cobra later on because she feels all mustangs are the same...well she just doesnt know till she rides in the terminator!

i am most likely gonna stick with our GT and go from there. i will end up supercharging it and be done

Not having a car payment is nice. It's a hard decision. I would put everything on paper and compare all the options to see what is best in the long run. Perhaps put a hold on the mods for the GT and save up for it to keep a lower payment.

Then again, damn. I want that car but know I can't afford it. You don't want my advice because I am leaning towards taking the terminator

IMO, keep the GT. While the Cobra has a nice motor straight from the factory, it is a very heavy car and the motor can be very expensive to fix if something happens to it. And there seems to be an increasing number of Cobras with motors letting go lately -- even bone stock, or just lightly modded. Just do the math and make sure you don't have any illusions on what each option is potentially going to cost in the long run.

my car will be completely paid off in a few months... and I wont have a problem affording a cobra, but on the other hand I do love my car, and its a rare one, and I could build it into one hell of a beast... but it would take quite a bit more work that it would with a cobra. btw I belive that yellow car is *the factor*

I had the same dilemma a few years ago...sell my GT and get a terminator, or stick with the GT and build it up. I stuck with the GT, which will hopefully make it's debute this summer!

The Factor Lives Jordan thats a tough choice, I really loved my cobra you just have to able to know when to stop modding and I didnt. Either way though it looks like youve got a sweet GT now so you cant go wrong with either choice

I have this same problem lol if I bought a terminator I'd put a kb 2.2 on it with all the supporting stuff and build up the suspension for cornering and be done with it... with my gt it looks great, the suspensions allmost done, but I have alot to do to make it anywhere near fast. the pi swap with cams and the rest of the bolt ons will net me close to 300rwhp and somewhere in the mid 12's (compared to other cars with the same setup) but thats not enough for me if I keep the gt I'll do the headswap and cams and have fun with it while I'm saving for a shortblock and a kb2.2 wich will cost quite a pretty penny but its not outta my reach... I guess I'll cross that bridge when I come to it. thanks for the imput guys

btw ed... you got the truck, now you need a quad/bike so you can come play with us down at sandlake or winchester bay!

Jordan instigator isnt the wright word, but until I think of another one it'll have to do. That is a pretty good idea though,a package deal does sounds good

dude, i think you should keep the GT and race it up. i will prolly always keep my sixer just because it's the nicest car i have owned so far and will hold sentimental value. that is the most important part. the extra power is nice, but if you have poured some blood, sweat, and tears into your GT it will hit you later if you get rid of it. i miss my lil hoopty wagon nissan that i had even though it was old and gutless.

whatever choice you make, i am sure you will have fun either way man

hehe yup thats me its deffinately worth it to buy 2 at the same time, if you ever plan on owning more than one. I think between my yfz and my g/f's raptor we saved allmost a grand wich isnt bad considering they were 06 models and we bought em right at the beginning of the model year.
