dirt & spotso out of engine compartment

Anyone have any tricks to cleaning their engine compartment? I'm more interested in a simplier way to get the thin layer of dirt out of the nooks and crannies. Cleaning by hand with a small brush and towels hitting every single spot causes a lot of cuts and bruises working everthing out.

Didn't know if anyone knew of a techique or product that makes the job simplier. For those of us who drive our show cars, invariably they get dirty!

They have that engine bright foam stuff that is similar to tire foam. Other guys just use the tire foam stuff. I think that works well to get the dirt out of the nooks and crannies...but i would think with it being "greasy" that it will look good for a couple days but dirt will collect easier...GOOD LUCK
