well i ran my car out of gas due to a falty gas gauge in the cluster, ive fixed it now. but the thing is it threw a code, typical run lean code as it should, so i disconnected battery to fix the guage. then i connected the battery, get this the car runs better whats up with that, i dont know, but the car is more responsive, idles better, and allout performes better. why?

I'm a complete noob but I'm guessing because it reset the PCM and the car is re-learning everything? Wouldn't things be a little sloppier at first though if that were the case?

That's what I thought to, but I've noticed that the car ran poorly before all this, now my iac is working properly, its like it was stuck in open loop before I did everything.

Personally I think it is good to reset the PCM at least 1-2 times a year and always after doing any changes to air, spark, or fuel systems.
