Dissapointed with 1/8 ET!!

OK, Last night I ran a 8.6 1/8th at 83mph with spray...I ran 9.1 at 73 without the spray. This was my first 1/8th mile track experiance. I ran the 1/4 mile in 13.3 at 106 before my gears and tune, so im thinking somethings not right...maybe they took out to much timing or something...

2.17 60ft
8.6 at 83mph @ only 3100RPMS (auto, 3rd gear)

any thoughts?

i dont think its THAT off
u lost .5 in the 660 with spray, which might equate to .8 in the 1320
thats seems about right(could inprove a touch)
did u make sure bottle pressure was in the optimal range (900-1100 imo)

your 60 could improve a touch too

Yeah, the NX bottle heater keeps it 900-1050...

do you still have the 13.3 timeslip????? if so what were the 1/8th times & mph on that? they usually tell you on it. that will help us a little too

I looked in the car, but couldnt find it.

Your short time is bad. It should be about 2.00. Try some better tires and traction bars.

so you ran a 9.1 @ 73 no spray??? that mph looks low to me. i ran 9.1-3's @ 75-78 all day with my 98 (mods are in sig). then you gained a full 10mph with the spray & gained 5 tenths. well most guys i know around here normally gain up to 8 tenths in the 1/8th with a 100 shot, so i guess that your not that far off. about the only thing i can think of, is you might be breaking loose when the tranny shifts & loosing a little time

8.6 works out to 13.33, so you right were you were before the tune and gears, 60 footer is pretty bad.

Well IF it is a 99+ your times w/o the spray is kinda low! I have a 98 w/ only exhaust, I got down to a 9.2xx W/ only a 2.2 60ft. Just work on the car w/o the spray first then youll get somewhere

Do you have any type of drag radials and also are you spraying it right out of the hole. most people who are running street tires aren't spraying their car until they get into second gear so that they won't spin as bad.
