i have an 85 automatic with the crappy fuel injection. Im changing it over to a 4bbl with c-4. I noticed there was about 1/2 in difference in the distributor shaft between the 5-speed and the aod. Im racing the car at circle track in town. so it has to be close to stock no aftermarket distributor. Could i run a distributor from a 70's model 302? thanks for your help

Carbureted was an option on the '84s and 85s, you could just go with one of those. The '85 would have the correct gear for the hydro-roller cam. The '84 would need the gear swapped.
