DIY florida 5.0 cluster?

Anyone done something like this? $135 seems a little steep for a plastic faceplate with no guages... I may be stuck buying it, but I always like to do stuff myself if possible.

i guess by the time you have 6 hours into it and it just doesnt look right is when you buy one.

because the mounting points are differnt planes it seems like it would be a PIA to dot it. If i were going to build one I would use the the black shroud and F being able to take the shroud off and still be able to get at the guages if you know what i mean

Yea your probably right, I think I have an extra cluster kicking around, maybe ill mess with it at work seeing how we dont have any cars to work on.

The MC-Machine faceplate looks sooo easy to DIY.

mc-machine.com - 87-93 Mustang Dash Plates

Materials- Plexiglass or whatever, cardboard for a template, LEDs for indicators.
Tools- dremel, hole saw, and a drill.

looks better but cost more. I have a full set of Pro Comp Gauges but I might sell them. I'm at a toss between doing this mod.

personally I'd pass, not a whole lot of bang for the buck that could be put to better use elsewhere

i just installed my buddies florida 5.0 gauge cluster in his turbo 88 notch! man thats a nice set up and easy to do! looks killer also! peace
