You should have an underhood sticker that states this, but the other give-away is the ports on the high and low pressure side are different than an R-12 system.

mine is 134a and like #612 or 618 off the line in 94 (by the vin tag) the build stickers are all dated from June 93-Sep93 as far as QC goes IIRC it was sold as a fleat (non-rental) car in Tx for 6mo then sold. I have found leftover 93 mustang parts on mine even.

so is this bad or good? 134a different from r-134? what exactly is a fleat vehicle? my car was manufactured 04/25/94 & last vin digits are 863

134a is cheap and you dont have to have the lic. (it may depend on were/what state though) to get like the old r12 stuff.
