Do bbk longtube headers have any starter clearance issues??

You can use your stock starter, if you are installing these headers yourself the best way is to loosen up the motor mounts and transmission brace and jack the motor up, it makes it a lot easier.

great thanks man,, Actually the motor isn't in yet.. but your right!! those motor mounts are so easy to remove, someone would be crazy not to!!

how hight does it need to be jacked? any other good tips, i got a pair siting in my bedroom floor waiting to get put in this weeekdn, any help would be much appreciated

I was told, if you follow there diections you will have no problems, i don't think the motor has to be too high, just enough to get them by...

yes go to bbk's web site i jacked the engine up till the lt sliped between the block and frame. used a pry-bar if it got wedged.
