Do convertibles and coupes use different springs? I just bought a set of new takeoff GT springs for my '94 GT convertible, but Midwest Mustang didn't ask and I didn't specify that it was a convertible.

Ford tags on the springs I bought have the following part numbers: 3R33 5310RA Can't find any tags on my original springs (still on the car).

Thanks!
Karl

Eibach application was Pro-Kit instead of Sportlines when I ordered mine.

Thanks !! I've already posted Midwest Miustang to see whether they have the right ones, or maybe what I have is right already.

What about struts and shocks - are they different for convertibles too???

struts and shocks should be the same for an aftermarket aplication just try to match the stiffness with the spring rate...or get a set of adjustable shocks and just put it on the setting the feels best

I'm trying to go stock - I like the handling/ride combination now. It's not likely that I'll take it to a track (but my new Eagle F1-GS-D3's may change my mind...). All I want is to restore it to what it was when new. Is there any place online to find Ford part numbers???

well i would say you mine as well enjoy a lower stance and such get a set of progressive rate springs that drop it 1-1.5 in try to stay close the the 1in side...then for shocks look into tikico Preimums, with this combo you will have a good ride quiality i actualy think it's better then stock and your handling with be more confident...if you want realy good ride quiality go with coil overs and 03 cobra takeoffs struts but that costs alittle more but the ride differce is amazing...handling too...it will ride like a BMW or porche

this is with bbk specific rate springs. dropped about 1.5". got almost brand new 01 gt shocks and struts and still rides like a rock on wheels. im gonna be gettin some 1.25" wheels spacers by mid to late summer so it will look a lil better

Spcific rate springs will ride rougher but handle better....i have BBK specific rate 750lb or 800lb up front and 350 or 400 out back if i rember correctly,

Also with stock hight tires on 17's it rides pretty godo but when i had 255/40/17's all the way around it was painful. now i have 245/45/17 up front and 275/40/17 out back and its a much nicer ride.
