do i have a big problem with my programmer

i had bought an sct x3 for my 04 f150 but i traded my truck for my mach 1 and i forgot to flash it back to stock so now is my programmer useless or what can i do? need help thanks.

Not really. Call SCT (sctflash.com has contact info) and tell them what you need. You will have to send it in so it can be reset. Also, you will need a tune from them (unless you get 'Advantage' - highly recommended - to do you own tuning) for the Mach1. Bottom line: there is some cost for unlocking and providing a new 'canned' tune but it is pretty reasonable, imho.

The alternate thing to do is to contact a reputable tuner in your area and have him set you up with a custom tune (to make the most of the mods done to the Mach1). Again, not a high cost for this since you already have the XCal.

It has to go back to SCT - usually that's $150 to unlock it, but MAYBE you can show them proof of the transaction and they'll give you a break - doubtful because of all the Ebay programmers they see. Then you need a custom tune for it - not too expensive - we change $50 for one. Other dealers charge about the same or more.

yep sct has to unlock it since it married to the first car it was on... $150 charge there

on my truck i had an obdII port under the steering column. and so my question is, where do i plug the programmer into the mach 1?

and who makes a good custom tune for mustangs. i went through vmptuning for my truck.

There's an OBD plug near the accelerator next to the center console

if you have the sct tuner id stick with justin at vmp...i know him well and all the cars around here that he has done alwaays turn out amzing tun wise...id stick with him if i was you
