Do i have EEC-IV on my 85 GT?

Hey guys, how so i know if i have EEC-IV on my 85 mustang GT? I wanted to change the cap and rotor, and there are 2 different ones. Thanks

Is your car stick or automatic. I think the strait drive in 85 had a carb but the automatics were trottle body injected. This could be the difference in the distributor.

yeah the auto's had crap and the sticks had the nice duraspark

Mine is a 5 speed and i am carburated, so does that mean i do have the EEC-IV?? I think on a 85 it can go either way

you should have EEC-III

Pretty sure that EEC-IV did not start until 86-87.

Guys, carb cars had computers too

They had the EEC III. Not much to it.
