I bought my car used, and the dealer handed me the key without the keyless entry remote. I asked for the remote, and he said it did not have keyless entry. I was surprised to hear this, as everything else is upgraded. It has the interior upgrade package with the heated seats, leather, bonus gauges in the instrument panel, shaker 500 stereo, etc. I am thinking the car has keyless entry, but the dude who traded it in just did not hand over the remote. (the spare tire lug wrench, and owner's manual are also missing, so the previous owner seemed to misplace things.) What do you all think? Is there a way to tell if I have keyless entry?

Just go to a Ford service dept and they will program one for you. Yes all 05+'s have keyless entry.

Did you buy it from a Ford dealer? If so I'd go there and demand they give me a fob for free.

Yep, definitely demand a free one. If they refuse, then get a couple off eBay. They're easy to program.

I just bought a pair for my 03 for $17 off ebay.

Ebay is an excellent place to buy extra key fobs.

I'd also tell the dealer to hand some over.

Hey, thanks for all the responses, and sorry to be absent lately. I bought the car used from, of all places, an acura dealer. It used to have this large "Acura" sticker on the truck that looked ridiculous. Anyhow, I am just going to buy some on the net, because I am sure the dealer does not have them. I could probably get some cash out of them to cover the cost, but it does not seem like that would be worth my time if they are only 17$. Can you program a new fob without an original fob? I thought that was hard to do or very expensive.

Yes, you can easily program them without originals. The keys are what you need 2 of to program, or you have to have Ford do it and it's expensive.

The remote programming sequence is described in the owners manual. Basically, whatever other remotes that are currently programmed for it will not work with it anymore.

The trunk release switch right next to the Flux Capacitor. Adjacent to the blinker fluid reservoir.
