Do i need this stuff under my hood?

i am wondering what are all these lines are and what they do? all the junk thats on the passenger side of the engine, infront of the firewall under the hood hindge. some of the lines are all ready capped off. help! do i need them or can i get rid of it!?

i would not randomly remove stuff. some of it is for a/c, and some for emissions. pics would really help (i know you dont have any). just be thoughtful about what you remove.

The only lines i can think of off the top of my head that are on the firewall under the passenger side hood hinge are the vaccum lines for the climate control wich is important. And the brake lines which are VERY important. The only lines on that side that can be tossed and not missed are the two vaccum lines for your smog pump, but those connect on the passenger side strut tower.

probably air hoses for smog pump going to the cats... if you have an off-road pipe, you can take out tha pump and tha lines

i removed all the lines(i dont have air) but if i remember, the passenger lines are emmisions stuff like thermactor and egr stuff, but if im wrong some one please chime in. But its all off and tghe car runs fine, i dont know about passing emissions though
