Funny, none of us really hang here much any more but then we come by and now we're half way to one of our 10 page threds.

Well, I did it. The L is in the garage, along with the wifes wagon.

Now I can sleep at night.

You mean in the house ?????

Since you're getting such a good nights sleep now, why don't you stop by the Carlsbad Outlet Mall tomorrow morning and show off your L. I'll be there around 8ish. Ken was there with his C6 last month along with some 05 'Stangs.

John,
I had totally planned to, but I agreed to have a yard sale to get rid of all the crap (and then some) that I cleared out of the garage to make room for the L.
I know you probably will not see this in time but if you do, come by the house on your way to or from.
Bill.

I'm back home. Didn't check this before I Ieft or I'd have stopped by. Wasn't much of a turnout anyway so I left early. Have to take my son to the O'side swap meet (he's convinced there's treasures to be found there). Good luck with your garage sale.

Have any of you used Zaino? and if so, if I get some would you be willing to help me out with my first aplication?
Or, does anybody recomend something else?

Bill,
may I suggest their show car kit that goes for 85.00. I t will have everything you need. Go to Costco and pick up a package of micro-fiber towels @ 9.99 for 16 towlels. This will get you going, I.H.T.H.

Good to see this thread is still kicking

Zaino is good, but let me introduce you to checking out Poorboys or Clearkote, both are good stuff. Some like it better than Zaino, and some swear by Z.

if you have any questions about the other two, I would be happy to answer them.

I've heard alot of good things about NXT (by Meguiars I think). Lot's of guys on the vette forum like it (you can imagine how anal they are). Suppose to be very easy to apply since it's a synthetic. Some apply a topcoat of Meguiars #16 for more depth to the shine.

After my Stang was painted I did some research and used PS21(a pure carnuba wax) as a base coat and then applied some Klass acrylic polish on top. Turned out great, but was alot of work and I had to mail order both products so it took time. Alot like Zaino in terms of time and effort.

Lot's of choices out there. I'm sure it'll look great with whatever you decide.

Yeah, well being the lazy AND impatient S.O.B. that I am, I couldn't wait for the Zaino and I'm not sure I could handle all the steps, (I couldn't even handle reading through it all) so I bought some Maguiars NXT to try this weekend because I also heard allot of good things about it.
I'll let you know.

Yep, I'm sold. I'll try it tomorrow.

Hey John, I had a little fun with a C5 today on the way home from work.
You vette guys are sneaky, he didn't want to go right off the light (it seems the word is out about the L off the line) but when we got up to about 35 or 40 he down shifts and stomps on it.
We were headed west on Cannon and although he got the jump on me, I pulled him by a car length all the way to the top of the hill.
Fun

Cool, you should have the L dynoed and see what the rwhp is. You going to be waxing it around 10 tomorrow? If so, I may stop by. I usually take a little morning cruise down hiway 1 on Saturdays.
