you will want them eventually, but with a basically stock engine you wont notice any difference.

You won't really notice a difference with just shorty headers. However, if you have an o/r or high-flow catted mid-pipe and an aftermarket cat-back, then the bottleneck in the exhaust becomes the stock exhaust manifolds. You might notice a slight difference then, but if you want more seat-of-the-pants feal, go with longtubes. I'm replacing mine merely for looks and sound (rusted and leaking slightly).

I noticed no difference whatsoever with mine and I already had a high flow x-pipe and flowmasters. Get LT's.

Yeah. I noticed that he said that....again. I have never seen decent 95-95 headers for less than $100.

Adam--What did you use as your keywords for the search?

I have a Pro-Chamber with no cats and a Mac catback and I felt a difference. It wasn't huge but it was there. You will also get some difference in the sound of your exhaust.

he probably won the tin foil cheepo ebay headers that are black. a good set will be around $150.....and honestly IMO the stockers ARE headers and probably flow better than stock head exhaust ports

I agree.

I wouldnt bother swapping them out on a stock headed car. On an aftermarket head I would run a mid or long tube header.

No. That seems to be the default for most mods on the 5.0. I dont know why cause my 5.7 responded WELL to every mod I ever made. It was pretty disappointing at first.

there was an article in the 5.0 magazine about a year ago where they compared the shorties and the long tubes. the shorties surprised them because they were almost as good as the lts.
