collectors are too short to be hookers. They look kinda like Blackjack headers, they usually have that weird short collector. Hookers always have a tag welded to them that says Hooker on it.

Usually the manual trans headers will work on automatic cars, but not the otherway around, due to the clutch linkage interference. Find out what brand they are and look it up on the appropriate website. Nothing wrong with shopping for used headers, I do it all the time. Great deals out there. Just stay away from the rusty, pitted looking ones.

Ditto and ditto. I have Hooker comps and they have a Hooker tag welded to the #5 primary along with welded collector flanges.

If tholse headers are cheap, I say give them a try.

Does anyone know if Hooker headers have a part number on them? I have a set of hookers but am unsure if they are for a 351w or 302, as they all have different applications. I was told there may be a number on the head flanges but i didn't see anything. Surely these have something on them to distinguish them from other engine sizes?

Backside? Is that the side against the head? Was it between any particular tubes cause i've looked the flange over and couldn't find anything. How big is the print or do you have pics? Thanks!!!!!!!!!!!

This pic shows the p/n and mfg date. In case your wondering the number is: R6228 (trick flow R headers for Fox body) mfg date 6/05

Thanks man!!! I guess the next time i have my headers off the car i'll look on the mounting surface of the flange for a part number. You guys are awesome
