i had problems when i tried to cap off my egr. the only way to properly remove it is to turn it off with a tuning device. i am using the adaptor from profesional products to connect the tube. you can get it from 50resto.com

im confused by your question you can plug the tube by reusing the threaded end and blocking it with a penny works great or you can get aftermarket headers for a 93-earlier and then you wont even have the tube to worry about

It came with a gasket , but I lost it. I went and bought a roll of gasket material and made my own. I needed one for the IAC also cause I couldnt find one of those either..

why do you want to get rid of the tube? is it just because it wont fit with the spacer? there is no gain from deleting the egr. i would just get the adaptor from 50resto like i originaly suggested.

ok.....i ordered one.....thanks for all the help....and yes it won't fit with my spacer...i tried to build my own by welding a copper coupling but i couldn't get the exact fit of the tube to flange out...then i tried using a high heat rubber tube as a coupling after i flushed up both sides, but the tube gets to hot....so i could either take off the spacer and get another tube or i could delete it....

my understanding of a tune is its a lot of money and to have one done just to turn of the egr seems silly

Agreed - unless you need the space/cleanliness in the engine bay - the EGR is your friend - it helps your gas mileage at part throttle and at WOT it's completely off.

the least expensive way to go is with my suggestion. get a new tube (about $50) and the adaptor (about $15 with shipping). if not you will need a tweecer, pms, or custom chip to turn it off in the computer.
