Lately it has felt a little extra hard to turn the steering wheel than every before. I put more power steering fluid in because it had gotten a little low and it seemed to help some. Also I guess it could be from the cold? Any Suggestions?

When was the last time you replaced your serpentine belt? It could be slipping.Hunter-White said:Lately it has felt a little extra hard to turn the steering wheel than every before. place it and see what happens. It could also be your belt tensioner. Make sure the belt is pretty tight.Hunter-White said:It's the original belt as far as I know
As for what fluid to use, the manual should say MERCON ATF.Kilgore Trout said:Might want to pull out the old owner's manual and see what it says you should put in there... Here's a hint, its not power steering fluid...

Has anyone gotten a bad steering creak? Mine happens when turning the wheel left. Sounds like wires tensing up. Dunno.Happened after I put the bigger tires on.
