Do you got some great music to recommend???
Okay, here is my predictament... I have put all my CD's in iTunes with about 22,000 songs. I downloaded (not from iTunes, though) another 1000 tunes to fill in some holes in my music library. And now, my music library is DONE. Done? REALLY??? Nothing more to add????
I listen to rock-n-roll:
It all starts with the '60's centered around the Beatles, Stones, Beach Boys, Jimi Hendrix, and the Who.
Then it hits the '70's hard with everything from the Band, Yes, Genesis, Argent, the Moody Blues, Humble Pie, Led Zeppelin, and ELO to Judas Priest, Thin Lizzy, Sabbath, Aerosmith, Blue Oyster Cult, the Allman Brothers, Queen, and the Pat Travers Band.
Then we are off to the '80's with everything from the Fixx, Billy Sqiuer, U2, and Tears for Fears to Ratt, Yngwie Malmsteen, Metallica, GNR, and Van Halen.
Then came the awesome '90's: Alice In Chains, NIN, Soundgarden, Pearl Jam, Goo Goo Dolls, Counting Crows, Nirvana, Blind Melon, Sponge, Third Eye Blind, STP, and 3 Doors Down.
But what about new music from 2000 on??? I am talking bands that you did not know about prior to 2000. John Mayer is good. The Killers are -- just -- alright. But who else. I recently came across Mutemath who are amazing, and I also like Porcupine Tree. But is that it???? I have the opinion that music has fallen off of a cliff since the year 2000.
Pleeeeeeeze prove me wrong:
What new bands are truly great??? Also, do you have some really obscure older selections that an extensive music collection might not have???
I not here to debate my assertion. I just want you to expand my music collection with greatness.
