But the car is not a stock 5.0. It probably has some sort of h/c/i kit. Just exhaust won't make it sound like that.

This sounds like a H-pipe. It's not a Bassani X-pipe

I've got Mac Long Tubes, Bassani R/X O/R X-Pipe, and Bassani Quite Thunder mufflers. Let me tell you you will not regret getting a O/R X-pipe !

With the long tubes it sounds like a high pitch wail like an Indy car, but very deep and throaty. It hits this @ 3000 - 4000 rpms. Believe me, people notice when you slide by. You will love it with LT's or shorty headers.

I had FMS shorty before, and it sounded good, but not as deep. The long tubes make a big difference in the sound.

I have AFR 165 heads / Eldelbrock Perfromer Intake. Putting down 281/308. That was with the LT's and a Mac ProChamber O/R mid pipe. It made the motor run alot hotter. Took it off and put the Bassani o/r X-pipe back on and the motor temp dropped alot, and the torque curve was back in the mid to high range and the car pulled alot better. Since then I bumped the timing up 2 degree's and it pulls even more .

Bottom line I'm estimating ~ 7-8 more hp with the x-pipe and 2 degree bump in timing.
