If the car is wingless or has an aftermarket exhaust I'll know the owner know something about "tricking out" the stang. Most of the old people/ignorant ownes just leave them stock

I'll usually give a thumbs up, actually talked to a guy in a loud GT last night and also a guy in a Terminator when I caught up to them at a light.

I seriously can't remember the last time I got a wave from another Mustang owner. Years ago. I quit waving a year or so ago. Never got a wave back. I can pull up to another Mustang at a stoplight and the owner just stares straight ahead. So anymore if I see a GT or above coming from the oppsite direction I may gun it or drop down a gear if I feel jumpy. Otherwise I just ignore them. I think too many mainstream people are buying Mustangs and just drive them. They could'nt care less about the heritage.

Same here - I actually got flipped off once. But I duno, I see all sorts where I live. I was walking and saw a nice Fox driving up past me so I gave him a thumbs up, and all I got was a blank stare. But then again, I pulled up to a guy with a clean 99 cobra and he said he liked my car more than he liked his own. Go figure, his car would eat mine for lunch and he said mine was nicer. I do like the mustang crowd better than the camaro crowd though (from what I know of it). Ive met a few stangers who offered me access to their garages/lifts within 10 minutes of talking to them. Most camaro owners just smoke off their tires and grow mullets

I usually wave or nod or just kind of look at other Mustang owners,
it mostly gets a positive response. Most of the 05/06 GT owners seem
a bit high aloof and will ignore a look or wave. They look like they are thinking
"My Mustang has more hp than yours" And then they will try to get past
me in traffic with a fly by move.

I'll do the ol' head nod if it's a nice stang. Haven't done it in a while though since the Roush is a weekend only car now.

I have been yelled at from other cars at lights or whatever saying that they've never seen a car like mine and if the paint is from the factory. Feels good especially if its an older person saying it.

That is funny about the Jeep thing. My brother has always had Wranglers and now he has a Rubicon. Its funny because if he is turning around a corner and being the passenger I am closest to the other Jeep, he'll tell me to wave.

It is true about the Jeepers though.... but just Wranglers or old Willys

Yeah, cause its the best combo of vehicles ever.

You can climb mountains, forge trails, and hit the mud with the Jeep, then come home and hop in the Mustang and dominate the highways and tear up the drag strip.

Oh, and both are panty droppers when done right...

I have gotten waved at by a few stangers with out me starting the wave. A lot of the stangers up here are nice and will wave, nod or flash there lights. I will look and nod at v6 stangs but most of them aren't mustang enthusiast. I get nods from the Harley and pickup truck crowd with a few thumbs up. I have yet to have a 05+ stanger wave or an 82-98 stanger wave back. Only people that have waved are the 99-04 owners and 65-70 crowd.

Tonight I was driving down the road and a light blue 05-06 GT passes and waves out the window and I waved back...another gray 05-06 passed and we waved at the same time. Then the previous owner of my car follows me home and compliments me and says the stang looks 100x's better, and I was thinking, oh if you could only talk to the guys on StangNet...lol

I got a wave about a year ago from a guy driving a fox, I was really happy, cause most of the time it seems like other Mustang drivers are too cool to acknowledge me. Not me, I stare at every gt and Cobra I see, and give a nod and smile on the rare times they look back. Guess my car's just not modded enough...

Got a nod from a middle aged balding dude driving a 911 so I gave the magnapacks some juice, probably wished his sounded like mine!

My dad and I once pulled up to guy in a 01' Firebird vert, sounded pretty good for being from the darkside. Anyways, at the light my old man asks him what hes got under the hood asumming he'll respond LS1 or something chevy like that. He says "v8" and drives away! NO **** haha, we both had a laugh.

No, because most stang owners here are douchebags.

I've had a few ask me if my paint was factory or custom as well.

I get the thumbs up from all kinds of different people but,two
nights ago some guy in a 98-02 Z28 Camaro pulls up to me at
a light and said "Your exhaust sounds great...and nice car!" I
told him the same and drove on to the store so,I guess not all
Camaro owners with mullets aren't all bad.I like the Mustang crowd
alot they seem to be alot nicer and cooler people to talk too.
Most of the people in the Subaru crowd are asshats and hate
mustang owners for some reason.

I had a guy in a 350Z tell me my exhaust sounded sick at a light, and he asked what my setup was. Then he asked me what it ran at the drag strip, lol.

He had a damn nice 350Z too.
