i personally can't wait to look into one myself. it and the new Camaro. i know, this is a Ford site, but come on, who can't resist a retro Camaro and Challenger with over 400hp? i was born a Chevy man, but converted, and if Ford comes out with that Ferrari looking Mustang in 2010, i will have to convert back to a Chevy, or maybe even go Mopar. and the Mustang needs some competition anyway, right now it is the only rear wheels drive car in the sports car arena minus the Corvette, and it's too expensive to me for no more car than it is...

I've been wanting one since day one. And that's kind of why I bought my '07. To KEEP me from buying one. I know I can't afford a payment on a $45k car at this point, so if I have a car that I can't trade in because it's too new, then I won't be able to buy one. But if I could, you better believe I'd buy one in a second. Those things are pure sex.

I'd rock one in a second, but would be quite interested in its economy in comparison the the LSx engines from GM.

Shameless plug: http://www.planetchallenger.com ---> there are some videos of it on the road, (in testing phases) here as well.

I never like any old cars (Camaro's, Mustangs included), but I like the modern twist on the retro look. The Challanger concept looks really cools, and hopefully the production car will not change much. Same goes for the Camaro. I'm going to be ready for a new car in 2010, it may be a hard choice.

I still want a Vette, it's the ultimate sports car for the money. The Chall and Camaro will not do well after the 1st 2 years. They will be pushing 40k loaded. For that, you can get a used vette with 10k miles on it.

not to bash, but saying the Corvette is the ultimate sports car for the money is like saying Kia is the best family car. come on now, the Camaro will share the engine and most of the driveline with the Corvette, and the SRT Challenger will have 425 hp at least, and you think they won't be able to compete with a Vette? no way. i do like the Corvette myself, but for family oriented people like myself, the Corvette is not practical. And if you can get the same performance, with a back seat and be able to haul the family around, most people will go with the Camaro or Challenger over a Vette, at least i would. oh well, i can't afford any of them right now anyway, but maybe by the time they are out i might, we'll have to see...but that's my opinion...

The stock C6 will run circles around the best Camaro and Challenger 8 days a week. Haven't we learned anything from the pos GT500? The Roush beats it minus 85hp.. Point is, the Cam and Chall will hammer the stock stang but for a much higher price while a few k more the Vette will eat them all up. I'm not longer a str8 line guy, I think everyone is evolving into handling and str8 line performance and the C6 runs with the big boys, Porsche, Viper, Gallardo etc.

I'm hoping the price of Shelbys, GT500s and other Mustangs will come down when the competition comes out.

NICE! i wasn't going to say anything, but since you did...it's his opinion though, and if he likes overpriced, 2 seater cars, so be it. who am i to judge? but if the Vette is such an awesome sports car, why don't everybody drive one? i mean, for another 12-14K over what we paid for our Mustangs, we could be driving the baddest car on the planet. and who wouldn't want to do that?

how can it whoop a car that is not even out yet? i think you guys are having premature tendencies here. if the Vette is so great, and so much bang for the buck, why do you guys drive Mustangs?

Here is the Stigs's times, the stock vette is a hell of a car for the money. I think the only car that costs less is the Evo, but I really don't know. The Z4m I think is more expensive as well.

Pretty good company for a 50k car.
rest of times

Go look at what cars the stock c6 beats, cars like the Viper and GT3 Porsche.

The Vette is fast, no doubt about it. And looks great. But I would rather hang out with Mustang guys any day than Vette guys. I don't want to be one of them.
