I am thinking of getting one. Does anyone know about the power gains over a stock H pipe. HOw does it sound. I know some of you are going to say to but others but UPR is the cheapest and I just need one to take in and out in between Smog Checks.

I have the vrs off-road x-pipe. vrs makes upr's pipe for them. I dynoed 14 rwhp from the x-pipe and a dyno tuned chip. So I would go with a another brand besides upr or vrs. Go with dr. gas, magnaflow, or bassani.

I have the UPR pipe on my car. It was a great fit which made it easy to install. This is a much higher-quality piece than the POS Mac o/r H I had first. I got mine brand new for $155 shipped to my door off of eBay. UPR posts quite a few things on there and the prices are great and shipping is fast.

Nope, Shorty headers will not even pass. (I think that heddman has a set of shorties that do) Because unless the item has a CARB EO number it will not pass SMOG. Aftermarket H and X pipes won't even pass even if they have cats. It SUCKS the big one.
