Does anyone know...

I would like to do some mods to the stang but I'm not sure about some things. Basically I would just like to know if anyone has had any experience, problems, or tips with these upgrades or similar ones. The things I'm thinking of getting are Coil on spark plugs, larger brake discs for all wheels (any sugestions?), Summit or bbk pulleys, fidanza flywheel. Thanks for any suggestions or tips. Also does anyone know what hardware I would need to do a basic 2v pi head swap? Just wanna make sure I got everything I need before I go ahead and put em on and find myself in a bad way. Thanks again.

Try having a quick search for "first mods" or something like that. Dont waste your money on a flywheel, dont buy any brand pulleys EXCEPT Steeda.

If its a non-PI car then headswap and gears are best choices. If its a PI car, gears and a tuner (Eg XCAL3) are you best first mods in my opinion. Then some exhaust work to make your car sound like a mustang. Lowering is great for improving handling and imrpoving looks.

Thanks for the help a little late now but the car is a 2001 GT. Heads are stock however mods include CAI, Throttle Body, Plenum and 3.73's. I will be sure to get those steeda pulleys. Anyone know a good place to buy?

Do some research on your car first before planning a modification roadmap. For instance, you asked about a "basic 2v pi head swap" but your car, being a 99+, will already have the PI heads and manifold from the factory.

If you enter the mod game without basic knowledge of the car, you're going to get hosed by unscrupulous vendors and spend money on useless things that have terrible, if not negative, bang/buck ratios.

the cobra brake kit is awesome. i got a score on one for 400. thats calipers, rotors, pads, spindles, and all brackets and bolts. im one of the lucky ones for that cheap. i needed everything because of old 4lug fox stuff.

Ok dude since you already have some decent mods, i would go with the pulleys(like you said you plan on), subframe connectors, and suspension. Also if you don't already have a tuner that would be a good idea. Also those Cobra brakes have a great reputation.

you got pi heads man :nonono: it sounds like its bone stock dont waste your money on a brake kit yet :nono: get a set of good pads for now untill u need a brake kit here are your basic bang for buck mods... off road x pipe , 3.73 gears, cat back , underdrive pullies, timing adjuster, (im outside philly i have the u/d pullies and timing adj. if u wanna buy there from steeda) i short throw shifter i love my tri-ax, cold air intake , 75mm t-body upper intake plenum, here is a good start and most of these you can do in your driveway and they usually dont cost more than 200$ new make sure you do your homework on your car before you go out ordering parts

i also reccomend the weapon X cop but you dont really benifit from them untill you have a poweradder otherwise i feel you can spent the 300-400$ on something else and if its an automatic toy can get a shift kit but i dont know anything about them (i like banging gears) :D:D:D
