Does the densechargers actually increase HP or does it just feel better when you are driving.

The Densecharger systems are dyno proven to increase RWHP & RWTQ. How much depends on your specific application.

Alright thanks guys. If they are proven to work that is awsome because they are not to expensive.

there was a thread on here or on svtperformance a few weeks ago where one guy switched between the densecharger and the WMS intake and dynoed them, had the graphs and everything, i'd try to find those, i think the WMS made more power. my roomate and i just ordered one for his friends 01 cobra and the damn thing came wrapped in ziploc bags. it really looked like just a homemade CAI, PVC and rubber. i personally would go with a better quality pipe.

I agree w/ the above. Results will vary!

Another factor to consider is that while strapped down on the rollers, a CAI's full potential may not be realized while on the dyno (whereas it would make for more of an impact at cruising speed out on the highway, as an example). Just some food for thought...

No difference

You will not feel any noticable difference once the Densecharger is on. I think it's mostly for looks, plus you can hear the air rush in when you initially tap the gas pedal. That's about it.

P.S. it's a pain in the ass to get the air filter inside of your wheel well!

Which is why you opt to remove the inner fender "splash" shield. Sure you have to jack the car up & remove the RF wheel in order to get to it, but it makes the rest of the install a breeze IMHO.

yeah, it's still a bigger pain in the ass then you think it's going to be, especially for maybe 2-4 hp increase....but it looks better then teh stock air box!!

Well don't plan on picking up too many ponies with a Densecharger or any other CAI...like i said you're lucky if you get 2-4 and that isn't RWHP either...you won't notice anything different when driving after the install, just looks better under the hood...that's been my experience...

Get yourself an exhaust!!! you WILL most definitely notice an increase in RWHP with an O/R H pipe (or X pipe)...then some gears, that's all you need!!

I disagree. Installing my WMS took a grand total of 20 minutes and that was including taking off the old air box. I got the full kit, complete from TB to fenderwell and the 95mm MAF. I picked up a solid 2mph on a car that only had an offroad h-pipe beforehand.

If you want a pain in the ass install that you WILL feel, do yourself a favor and order some longtubes and a shorty midpipe! I'm currently in the process of doing this by myself and believe me, it's much more time consuming than putting on a CAI.

mtbiker - do you have any dyno numbers?

Yea I am getting the magnaflow system. i was just wandering about the intake. If the densecharger was the best intake to buy and how much hp would I get for it. But yea I got the exhaust covered.

I had a densecharger system on my 01 cobra could not tell any change in horsepower.I ended up selling for a little of nothing.IMO i would put the money towards gears,or if you want to change something on the intake side i would go with the c&l mass air system.

Doogz,

I don't have any dyno #'s (only cause i don't know where to get my car dyno'd in Upstate NY)...but also, i only installed the densecharger from the TB to the fenderwell...i didn't do a MAF, which may have helped out a little more...I say do the CAI, just don't expect "feeling" any difference in HP...

I agree with 32v SVT!!

Call or write to Densecharger the guys there are really cool, if you have any questions they will answere them. And there very honest when I bought my densecharger I wanted to get the full system, Steve told me with my current mods it wouldnt benefit me to get the whole thing. Then when I finally did my heads cam intake they sold me the last piece for really cheap (actually cheaper than the price if I bought the whole system at the same time) and they even threw in the carbon fiber dress up. I has shown a gain in my car of 3 hp before heads intake and cam.
