I'm a dog person, but we have a cat. Currently, we have a giant hairy-assed mixed breed (part Great Pyrenees, and who knows what else) and a full blood Cairn terrier. Nether dog is "mine" in the respect that he and me share a mans best friend relationship like the Great Dane I had before,...but I still love me a dog.
The cat is the perfect house cat,..sleeps in the house, craps in the neighbors garden, but is still a "keep to itself, until it needs something" damn cat.
Just wondered what the rest of you have.

We're in the midst of getting a new dog now. I'm a dog person BUT I enjoy the personality of a cat.
Doesn't give two chits if you stay or go, go 3 weeks without petting it or forget it's name entirely. You put food in that bowl down there and it's willing to co-exist with you a while longer.

My sister has one and i fell in love with him. That inspired me to get one. Now i want another haha. She needs a playmate though. I think every dog should have one besides their human.

I am leaning towards being a dog person. We have 2 cats and 1 dog. Currently 1 of the cats keeps barfing in our bedroom in the middle of the night and the other keeps p issing everywhere. Dog does her business outside.

Most condos, whether you rent or own, won't accept dogs but permit cats.

Wife has a chihuahua and I have a Rottweiler named Hana. Best family dog ever. Very friendly with the family, but gets real ugly when strangers come around.

Dog. I HATE cats! Can't keep them off my cars so that's a deal breaker.

We currently own a ten year old Jack Russell, or might I say she owns us. Been a good dog but when she's goes we probably won't replace her.

Then the wife and I will finally be free.

The following was liberated from from the files of KAT (Kansas Area Tigers). It appears to be the organizational hub for the entire cat conspiracy. Though it doesn't divulge any specific plans, it is genuine peek into the psyche of the insurgent feline cells. Some may have seen this dossier previously as it's declassified for more than a year. It's a good read regardless and should help to keep readers on their toes.

Information contained within was obtained by the insertion of a field agent, cleverly disguised and specially trained to infiltrate the feline cell unnoticed:

Entries in a dog's journal:

8:00 am - OH BOY! DOG FOOD! MY FAVORITE!
9:30 am - OH BOY! A CAR RIDE! MY FAVORITE!

9:40 am - OH BOY! A WALK! MY FAVORITE!

10:30 am - OH BOY! A CAR RIDE! MY FAVORITE!

11:30 am - OH BOY! DOG FOOD! MY FAVORITE!

12:00 noon - OH BOY! THE KIDS! MY FAVORITE!

1:00 PM - OH BOY! THE YARD! MY FAVORITE!

1:30 PM - ooooooo. bath. bummer.

4:00 PM - OH BOY! THE KIDS! MY FAVORITE!

5:00 PM - OH BOY! DOG FOOD! MY FAVORITE!

5:30 PM - OH BOY! MOM! MY FAVORITE!

Entries in a cat's journal:

DAY 752 - My captors continue to taunt me with bizarre little dangling objects. They dine lavishly on fresh meat, while I am forced to eat dry cereal. The only thing that keeps me going is the hope of escape, and the mild satisfaction I get from ruining the occasional piece of furniture. Tomorrow I may eat another house plant.
DAY 761 - Today my attempt to kill my captors by weaving around their feet while they were walking almost succeeded, must try this at the top of the stairs. In an attempt to disgust and repulse these vile oppressors, I once again induced myself to vomit on their favorite chair...must try this on their bed.

DAY 765 - Decapitated a mouse and brought them the headless body, in attempt to make them aware of what I am capable of, and to try to strike fear into their hearts. They only cooed and condescended about what a good little cat I was...Hmmm. Not working according to plan.

DAY 768 - I am finally aware of how sadistic they are. For no good reason I was chosen for the water torture. This time, however, it included a burning foamy chemical called "shampoo." What sick minds could invent such a liquid? My only consolation is the piece of thumb still stuck between my teeth.

DAY 771 - There was some sort of gathering of their accomplices. I was placed in solitary throughout the event. However, I could hear the noise. More importantly I overheard that my confinement was due to MY power of "allergies." Must learn what this is and how to use it to my advantage.

DAY 774 - I am convinced the other captives are flunkies and maybe snitches. The dog is routinely released and seems more than happy to return. He is obviously a half-wit. The bird, on the other hand, has got to be an informant, and speaks with them regularly. I am certain he reports my every move. Due to his current placement in the metal room his safety is assured. But I can wait; it is only a matter of time......
