All right guys I am looking around for some good tires to replace the stock 245/45 zr 17 goodyears. (wife ran over a 3 inch long grade 8 bolt and damaged one front tire and punctured the rear tire) Anyway I had some Donlop gt series tires suggested and after looking at the tread patterns and wear life I was going to go with these, and I was checking to see if anyone has use these before.

I have Dunlop FM901's. Not too bad. No complaints yet. They have a cool tread pattern.

You should check out Nitto 555 street tires. Also, the Goodyear Eagle F1 GSD-3 seems like a good tire (I've heard many great reviews, but have no experience with them myself).

I never used Donlop tires before but,I do highly recommend the Nitto 555's
though they are some great tires for the money.

The good thing about most Dunlops are once you realize they suck, you won't have to wait long to replace them because they wear right out. Seriously, never had any good experiences with Dunlops.

I had Dunlap SP 8000s on a previous car. Tread life was very short (18,000) but they were an excellent summer high-performance tire. They were fine in the rain and stuck like glue. However, don't even think about driving in the winter with them. You can probably do OK in dry winter, but they sucked in even just a cold rain. They just aren't a winter tire. They are relatively cheap too.

For daily driving, I'm going to have a tough time not going with the Goodyears that came with the car (gatorbacks?) when it comes time to replace them. The tread life is excellent (23,000 miles with at least another 10,000 left.) They are perfectly fine for the street in all 4 seasons. Besides, I run around on Nitto DRs in the summer (with stock Goodyears on the front.) Maybe there's a better all-season performance tire choice, but the Goodyears aren't all that bad IMO.
