I have an 06 GT and recently the passenger side interior door handle was rattling. Since it was still under warranty I took it to my local for dealer to have it fixed. When I picked it up the rattling was gone, however I have the interior upgrade package with the brushed style door handles and they replaced the rattling handle with a silver one that was shiny plastic and not brushed. When I asked them about it I was told that apparently fords supplier stopped making the brushed style door handles so they were going to replace my driver side with one that matched. I then looked at the brand new cars on the lot and their door handles were brushed and not shiny. I was then told that they made a call to Ford and were told that it is some sort of mix up and all of the door handles should be brushed and not shiny. So I am currently waiting for them to figure out what to do with my door handles. My question is, has anyone had this same situation happen to them and if so can you offer me any advice that I can relay to my ford dealer. Sorry I know this is a long thread but I would like my door handles to match. Thanks for your help.
